The New York Times has an incredible issue out with all kinds of neat articles on design, marketing and product development for a kid audience. The overall tone of the articles is kind of cautionary though -- definitely worth a read. IDFuel has a reaction to a couple of the stories with a little toy designer's perspective thrown in.

an alternative to boring stairs and elevators!?
artist carsten höller for the museum kunst-werke in berlin...the slide is part of the museum since 1998 and a great success...not only for children...
i think fun&play in urban or public spaces ist becoming rare these days...!
