Hours: 

• Routine daily 14 ½ to 15 ½-hour shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 or 11:30 p.m. and sometimes later;
• Workers are often at the factory over 100 hours a week, while working 80 or more hours;
• At most, workers receive two or three Sundays off a month; 

 

 

Routine Daily Shift at the Kaisi Factory
(14 ½ to 15 ½ hours a day)

8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon	Work, 4 hours
12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m.	Lunch, 1 ½ hours
1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.	Work, 4 hours
5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.	Supper, 1 hour
6:30 p.m. to 10:30 or 11:30 p.m.	Overtime, 4 to 5 hours—sometimes more

           

             All overtime is mandatory.
